Our Story.
Meet Frankie, my Miniature Dachshund and the inspiration behind Poppetino! When I adopted Frankie in 2023, I envisioned the perfect walking accessories for him. I wanted something that prioritised comfort, practicality, and durability while maintaining a sleek, minimalist design—solid colours, no over-the-top patterns, and no bulky, flashy logos.
Surprisingly, finding this combination was more challenging than I expected, and I ended up sourcing a complete four-piece set from three different brands. With over eight years of experience in the fashion industry and a stint at a dog food startup, I decided to combine my two passions and create Poppetino to fill this gap in the UK & Ireland.

Can I return or exchange a product if it doesn't fit my dog?
We want to ensure that both you and your dog are satisfied with your purchase. If the product you ordered doesn't fit your dog, you can return or exchange it. Send an email to hello@poppetino.com within 14 days of receiving your order to initiate the process. The item must be unworn, unwashed, and in its original packaging. Once we receive the item, we will issue a refund or help you find the right size. Note that we do not cover the cost of returns, so this cost is the customer's responsibility. We recommend reviewing our sizing guide and product descriptions to ensure the perfect fit for your pet.
What countries do you ship to?
We currently only ship to UK and Ireland, however we hope to expand to other areas in Europe soon. Reach out and let us know if there are certain regions of interest!
Will I have to pay further taxes or charges on delivery?
No, this will be covered by Poppetino prior to delivery. Feel free to reach out to us should you incur any unexpected charges.
Will I have to pay customs duties?
Customs charges apply to all customers in Ireland on orders exceeding €150. We recommend making separate purchases to avoid these charges. We hope to set up fulfilment and distribution in Ireland soon.

How do I know what size set I should order for my dog?
To determine the right size for your dog, we recommend using a soft measuring tape to take measurements of the the neck and chest. For collars, measure the circumference of their neck and add 2 inches for a comfortable fit. For harnesses, measure their neck and chest at the widest point. Once you have the correct measurements, reference our sizing chart to establish the perfect fit for your dog.
What are the benefits of three clip points on a harness?
Your clip point preference on a dog harness can depend on factors like your dog’s behaviour, training goals, and comfort. Here’s a breakdown of how each clip point can be used:
Front Clip (Chest Area): Ideal for dogs who tend to pull on the lead. Attaching the lead to the front clip redirects your dog’s movement towards you when they pull, helping to discourage this behaviour and making walks more controlled. It’s especially useful for training.
Back Clip (Top of the Harness): A great option for well-behaved dogs who don’t pull. It provides a comfortable and straightforward walking experience, with minimal interference for the dog. It’s also perfect for casual walks and when using longer leads.
Back Rear Clip: The rear clip is great for casual walks and dogs who are well behaved and need less control. It's a great attachment point option for long lines and more loose-lead walking.
Your choice of clip point might also depend on the type of walk you’re taking. For instance, front clips are better for busy or crowded areas where control is crucial, while back clips are suited for relaxed strolls in open spaces.

What are Poppetino's poo bags made from?
Our compostable poo bags are made from PBAT and cornstarch. PBAT (Polybutyrate Adipate Terephthalate) isabiodegradable polymer often used in compostable products for its flexibility and ability to break down completely in composting conditions. And cornstarch isanatural, plant-based material derived from corn, used as a renewable resource in compostable bags to replace traditional plastics.
How long do compostable poo bags take to decompose?
In ideal composting conditions, our bags can decompose within 90-180 days. However, decomposition time may vary based on temperature, moisture, and the composting environment.
Can I dispose of these bags in a regular bin?
Yes, but disposing of them in general waste won’t allow them to compost properly, as landfill conditions often lack the oxygen and microbes needed for decomposition. For best results, use a home composting system or a dedicated compost facility.
Can I compost poo bags with dog waste at home?
Yes, but only if you have a compost system specifically for pet waste. Dog waste contains pathogens that aren’t suitable for regular compost, especially if you’re using it for vegetable gardens. Dedicated pet waste composters or industrial composting facilities are ideal.

No, they don’t have a strong odour. In fact, our bags are lightly lavender scented (1-2%) which neutralises odours while remaining eco-friendly and keeping factory workers safe.
What is the best way to store compostable poo bags?
Store the bags in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat, as they are made from natural materials and may degrade faster in warm, moist conditions.
Do the bags expire?
Yes, compostable poo bags typically have a shelf life of about 12-18 months. It’s best to use them within this period to ensure optimal strength and functionality.
